Last Weekend

We got to keep Will this weekend because Mike and Martha were on vacation in the Dominican Republic...I was totally jealous! But we had such a great time playing with him all weekend...he is definitely busy! He just has the best personality and was so sweet and funny the whole time. Here are a few highlights of our time...

I am actually going to Florida for a few days!! I'm super excited to just go and sit on the beach and eat and drink! I have already been in vacation eating mode for a week now....actually more like since my birthday...but who cares?? Anyway, maybe I'll have some very exciting beach pics to post when I get back. Pray for nice weather in Clearwater, Florida!

Goodbye Rosie Marie

I know that I posted earlier that my dog Rosie wasn't doing well, and I hate to say it but she passed away yesterday. Three years ago she was given about a year to live, so we knew it was coming, and she finally told us it was time to go this week. It's hard to describe how Rosie was to people who never knew her, but she really was just the best dog ever. There's really no other way to say it. She was so smart and had such a great personality that she was just so much fun to be around. I got Rosie 11 years ago this month. I saved some birthday money and some money that I made at Tom Thumb and then found some add in the paper for puppies. Mom and I drove to Fort Worth (which at the time was a very long drive for us) to pick her out of her litter. I remember that she was actually the smallest dog in the litter. I know it is unbelievable to think of Rosie as small, but she was. I figured out that I really don't have any pictures at all of Rosie when she was a baby, and I guess I didn't have a camera at that time. But anyway, Rosie was just so much fun from the first day we got her. She came at a time in our family when we really needed to laugh, and she definitely made us laugh. And even though I was technically the one that brought her home, she was never just my dog. She had this bond with my brother Mike that was amazing. When we were all together it was like he was the only one in the room with her. She would always perk up if we said his name and if he came over to the house she would cry and whine until she could get next to him. She got to see him on Friday before she got really sick..I think that was meant to be. I can't really go into all of the things that made Rosie special because I can't spend the rest of the night crying, but I did find some pictures that showed all of the sides of The Rose: This is probably the oldest picture I could find....yes she was actually skinny at one point! And she LOVED to chew on socks and shoes...especially Mike's

I couldn't find my favorite picture of Rosie and it really upsets me but if I do I will definitely post it. Sorry for all of the randomness in this post! I need to stop writing this or it will go on forever. But Rosie (Rosie Marie, The Rose, Fat Dog) will live in my memories forever. I will love her and miss her always!

So I had to work that morning (SM I can't believe you didn't show up to work) but I was done by noon so it wasn't so bad. Then Mike, Martha, and Will were at the house for most of the day and we ate, slept, and played! It was perfect! William is really showing his cute personality these days. We get to keep him for a few days in a couple of weeks and I am so excited! Anyway, I didn't get to see fireworks this year because I fell asleep on the couch after they left but it was still a great day!

So I guess I'm averaging one post every other month. I still really don't have much to say!! I can't talk about Idol anymore, and for some reason I can't get any of my pictures to upload from my camera, which is REALLY annoying. I think I need a new camera because mine is super slow and evidently broken since I can't upload anything.

Let's see what's happening.....I just had to spend A LOT of money on my car because the air conditioner went out and you know I can't do without my A/C!! So there goes some of the house savings. I also had to spend a lot lately on my two doggies....Lily had an ear infection and and eye infection and had to get all of her shots and tests and stuff, and Rosie unfortunately isn't doing well at all. She has a tumor on her leg that they can't operate on because she might not be able to walk if they take it off. Sooooo I probably won't have The Rose very much longer :( She IS a two-time cancer survivor so we'll see what happens this time.

I'm going to Houston next weekend for a very exciting VitalStim certification seminar....lame....but I'm excited because I get to see my friend Mary and her cute little baby who shares my birthday!! Which brings me to the next topic- I am going to be 28 in 2 weeks!! That is crazy!! I think I dread my birthday more and more every year. I don't know how I'm going to make it to 78.1 which is the average lifespan these days. I guess at some point you become thankful for every year that you have a birthday. I guess I need to change my attitude huh??

Speaking of attitude....I have a pretty poor one lately. I don't really know why because nothing has happened. I think it has something to do with it being summer and me being upset that I have to work while others are off. I know I made the choice to change jobs but I can still be jealous of those who are free in the summer. If I were off work I would probably just eat more and spend more money so it's probably a good thing I am working!

Did anyone watch Nashville Star this week? If so did you see the girl from Arlington? She was last and she was really good!! I don't know her but I was wondering if anyone else does....let me know any gossip you may have! later~

Nothing To Say!

Well I was told I needed to blog again by SM but I really don't have much to say!!! I have been working a lot lately because I have so many patients...I have actually had to call in help (TC for those of you who might know her) and I have STILL been working late!! And I am in this contest with my friend Katrina to see who can work out the most in 5 weeks. We get 1 point for each 15 minutes of exercise and so far I have 8. I think she has about the same but we're not really telling each other our points. The most ironic part of it all is that the loser has to pay for the winner's dinner! Kind of funny since we're trying to lose weight but you have to reward yourself somehow! BTW SM I'm going to need you to work the next 2 Saturdays in May since I don't have any help anymore. Thanks!! I'm bored with Idol and DWTS this week so I won't even mention them. Let's see what else? My Southern Living job has been lame lately. I haven't had very many parties lately and the ones that I have had were bombs. So if anyone wants to have a good party let me know!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'm finished with this. See you all later!

Idol and Little William

So Idol and William are not related topics, but I wanted to mention both. We had a late Easter at the house this weekend and my mom gave him this weird chicken dressed up like a rabbit that did the chicken dance and he was scared of it. It was a little scary actually. Anyway I wanted to show how big he is and how many teeth he has!!

On to Idol....I was pleasantly surprised with their versions of Dolly songs, a lot of which I didn't even know! Here's a brief recap of my favorites in order:

1. Michael- hot and fabulous

2. Cutie Pie- he made a comeback this week

3. David Cook- fantastic...I can't believe he was hospitalized!!

4. Carly- I don't know why they are so mean to her when she is wonderful. I didn't like the outfit either but I think it hurt her feelings

5. Brooke- love her but it wasn't her best

6. Jason C- I still love him

7. Syesha- doesn't she know better than to sing Whitney? they never like it

7. Kristy- ugh...she's never leaving!

8. Ramiele- you are soooo boring and you need to go home
